Ms. O’Kray-Murphy’s education includes a bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan and a juris doctorate from Wayne State University where she was the co-chair of the Student Trial Advocacy Program. As a student, she volunteered at the Free Legal Aid Clinic and served as a student research attorney with the Student Appellate Program.
Ms. O’Kray-Murphy is licensed to practice law in California, Arizona, and Michigan and has experience representing clients in a board range of matters, including employment law, class action litigation, civil litigation, civil harassment restraining order proceedings, and others. Ms. O’Kray-Murphy is a member of the Southwest Inn of Court and the Riverside County Bar. Ms. O’Kray-Murphy has vast experience teaching several undergraduate and graduate level courses, including Business Law and Ethics; Juvenile Delinquency and Detention; Justice Studies; Sports Law; Power, Politics and Government; Communications; and others.
Ms. O’Kray-Murphy relocated to California in 2015. She is married to her husband, Shannon, and is a proud parent of three adult children. In her free time, Ms. O’Kray-Murphy enjoys vegan cooking, yoga, and travelling. Ms. O’Kray-Murphy serves as a Board Member for the local non-profit organization, REACH (formerly known as C.A.S.A.). Ms. O’Kray-Murphy volunteers at Saint Martha Catholic Church in Murrieta and is actively involved with the youth ministry program and the marriage ministry.
